Leauge Results 10/05/08
The second XI continued their good start to the season, claiming 5 points at home to Bolton Villas. Batting first the 'ollies' posted 259-7, captain Giles Phillips leading the way with 81, supported strongly by two U17's, Ed Brown (54) and George Huntley (30). In reply Bolton Villas made 192-7 with Alan Hayes claiming 3-43.
The first XI were away at Steeton. Again Batting first the 'ollies' posted 230 with opener Darren Murray 49 the pick of the batsmen. Steeton in reply got off to a flier from which the 'ollies' never recovered and they knocked the runs off for the loss of three wickets.
Once again the third XI were denied a chance to open their season due to re-arranged cup matches.

League Results 3/05/08
The 2XI continued their good start to the season, making it three wins out of three by outclassing local rivals Ben Rhydding. Batting first the ollies posted 196 - all out, with Will Pearson (64) the pick of the batsmen. In reply Phil Howell continued is good form with the ball, ripping through the Ben Rhydding batting order to claim 7-21 as the home side were bowled out for 90.
Playing their first game at home this season, the 1XI lost the toss and were inserted, yet again the batting failed to fire and the ollies posted a disappointing 120 all out. In reply Follifoot knocked off the runs for the loss of two wickets.

League Results 26/4/08
The 2XI continued their promising start to the season with a convincing win over Woodhouse at home. Batting first the Ollies posted 162 for 5, I Thomas top scoring with 48. In reply Woodhouse were bowled out for 85 with P Howell the pick of the bowlers collecting 6-29.
The 1XI got their season off to a disappointing start away at Colton. Batting first Colton reached 182 for 9 with R Machel collecting six wickets on his return to the 'ollies'. Down to 10 batsmen through injury to C Campbell the team were bowled out for 119, with N Peterson 30no.

League Preview 25/26 04 08
This weekend once again sees all three league teams in action along with the Sunday team. Having been washed out last weekend the 1XI hope to get their season underway at Colton in a battle of the newly promoted teams. The 2XI are at home to Woodhouse and are hoping to build on a strong six point win away at Skipton last week.
For the first time in the clubs history 3XI league cricket is being played at Olicanian Cricket Club. The 3XI who were also washed out last weekend are at home to Kirskstall Ed in what promises to be a historic day for the club.
Completing the weekends fixtures are the Sunday XI, who again in a historic first, will be playing away from home for the first time against Cambridge Rd Meths.

First Club Social
The social secretary has spoken and the first club social will take place this Saturday, the 19th of April to coincide with the opening of the 2008 league.
Meet at the clubhouse from 7:30pm onwards and wear something with 'ollies' on ! All players, partners and guests are welcome to help start the season in the traditional Olicanian way !!
